Community Advisory Board
The community advisory board is made up of community members who provide advice and counsel to the medical center and ensure accountability to our community. These board members are not owners, employees, or directors, but rather serve in an advisory capacity.
Qualifications
- Resident of Montgomery County, Texas or one of contiguous counties
- Agreement with core principles and mission statement and vision
- Must sign non-disclosure agreement
- Must be able to attend at least monthly in-person meetings, to communicate regularly (email, phone, etc.) between meetings, to conduct research as needed, and to assist with other periodic activities
- No executive-level position, board membership, or ownership in area hospital, medical insurance company, or other competitor
- No family members of other board members
- Employees cannot serve as board members (except as proxy for president)
- No encumbrance (criminal history, pending legal issues, etc.) or other conflict of interest
Term
- Board members are appointed by the president for a one-year term
Compensation
- Board members are consultants (independent contractors); they are not employees nor entitled to any employee benefits
- Board members shall be paid for attendance at meetings and other significant tasks performed
